TENANT'S TAX

For economic operators who are tenants

 Under Local Government Act. 1989 and Municipal of Quatre Bornes (Returns and Tenant's Tax) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT: When renting a property the owner and the tenant must, within seven days, inform the Treasurer of the Municipality of 

(a)The name and address of the owner 

(b)The name and address of the tenant 

(c)The situation of the property, and 

(d)The rent being paid  

When there is an increase or decrease in rent or when the tenant has vacated the property, the owner and the tenant must, within seven days, inform the Treasurer of same in writing by registered post. Owner or Tenant who makes a false return or otherwise fail to comply with sub section 5 (V) of regulations shall commit an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding thousand Rupees (R10,000)
